The Angell ASL line is made for power.

In every shot, a player needs to reverse the momentum of the ball with accurate timing and swing speed.  Targeted sections of the ASL frame are constructed with a layer of active Siloxane to dramatically reduce impact stress and incoming ball speed. This immediate reduction in ball speed means less power is absorbed from the players swing and more pace is loaded onto the outgoing shot. Full foam core inside the frame provides solidity whilst the high modulus carbon delivers the abundance of power that all Angell frames are renowned for.

6 reviews for ASL 3

As expected awesome in every aspect. Top notch quality, the most comfortable and playable ever. Good power, control and slice. Very good net play and serve. Great and fast service from Angell. Thanks alot.

I have a few Angell racquets and while I prefer to use a traditional mid size frame (TC95) in my opinion the ASL3 is one of the best 100sqin frames I’ve used.
Great design, balance, weight and power, while being an arm friendly frame, as all Angell racquets are. The racquet head shape and 16×19 string pattern provides plenty of grab on the ball for those who hit with heavy spin, without having an uncontrollable high launch angle that some ‘spin’ orientated racquets have.
The ASL3 is a racquet that you could confidently put in the hands of a raw beginner or an high end advanced player and it will do what the player wants it to do. The finish on all Angell racquets is top end quality.
No hesitation in recommending the ASL3 to anyone looking for a racquet that can do it all.

Played two modified TC97 Pro’s for 3 years which I adored. Recently started playing again and tried the ASL3 on a whim. Hands down the most enjoyable racquet I’ve ever owned. It has an abundance of spin, power, control and a plush comfortable feel. Have weighted it at 3 and 9 and added an over grip. Blown away by how impressive this frame is. Congrats to Paul on another stunning design

I used to use babolat pure strike but since switching to ASL 3 I feel I have been generating much more power than ever before and have been able to finish points faster. However it still maintains control and touch when defending or at the net. An overall great racket that has taken my game to the next level. I would definitely recommend to any juniors or adults who are looking to improve their game!

A little background: I also own TC95s and TC97s and love the way they play.
On first inspection upon delivery of my ASL3 I was very impressed with the quality of the finish. Very glossy without a single flaw. My TCs were great and the ASL3 was even better. On first hitting session I found a definite family resemblance. The racket felt smooth and solid. There is a touch more power but in keeping with being a player’s racket that power is easily controlled. I’ve played with my new racket about a dozen times now and I’m very happy with it. I’ve ordered a second frame. Thanks Paul!
