Description

Looking for power? We have just the solution. Whilst your technique improves, the new TC105 V5 works with you to deliver dominating shots without effort. Too many oversize frames make technique impossible to improve because they provide the player with too little feedback, but with the TC105 V5, we have ensured that the frame will reward your developing skill.

We haven’t added bells and whistles to make this a “game improvers” frame, just some extra string bed to reduce miss hits and a little extra stiffness to aid power. The rest is still up to you. The added bonus is, it looks like a TC90 V5 from a distance…

Key Features

PERFORMANCE DRIVEN TECHNOLOGY

Our focus has always been to deliver quality products that are built to the highest standards and incorporate technology that benifits players. Nothing else.

HOT MELT XT

We have turned up the heat on our raw materials to lower the viscosity of the resin used to coat our High Modulus fibres. The result is “Total Coverage” or as we like to call it, “Perfection Manufacturing”.

MICRO BRAID

Heat and pressure are used to mould our carbon frames into shape. Our MICRO BRAID layer minimises resin flow out of the frame structure resulting in a more consistent product.

FOAM CORE

All Angell custom models are filled with our unique Foam Core to provide a high level of dampening and the unmistakable feel of a solid filled frame.

This is now my third TC 105. Am always amazed at the high quality. Just order and the specifications fit. No other manufacturer is able to manage this. Just a great solid and sporty racquet, love it. See also my other review.

After discussions with Paul Angell I had then decided to order the TC105 (300 gr. / 27.5″). I play senior 55+ and was looking for a racket that should accompany me for many more years. Because of the racket stiffness I was initially a little unsure. This uncertainty has settled with the first shot. The foamed frame plays extremely smooth and the precision is just awesome. You won’t find this combination anywhere else. The service and my double-handed backhand work perfectly, now have to work a bit on the forehand. Overall, a wonderful story that is a lot of fun. Thank you Angell for this excellent and noble product.

It was a bold step change to move to such a large head size and extended length shaft for me, but the decision has been totally justified. Overall, the frame is powerful, yet control oriented – a combination few other Branded frames achieve in one and this enables me to hit huge groundstrokes with pin point accuracy and total confidence! Overhead and on serving I am simply blown away by the extra accuracy and power this frame has given me and I’m a County Men’s player! It took me longer to dial into my volleys but now I am back to the confident volleyer of old. So all in all and after 3 months with the 105, I can one hundred percent recommend this racket to singles and doubles players alike. I understand that younger players might never consider a 105 early in their playing career, but I would challenge them to give it a whirl, such is my confidence in this high quality frame. String choice does affect the performance of course, but I am settled right now on Mayami ‘Tour Hex’ 1.25mm as the perfect nstring to provide the performance I need. With greater exposure the 105 could become and iconic frame – in the right hands! Well done Paul Angell.

Angell promises power with the V3 TC105 and the racket delivers. My extended length custom build provided easy power on groundstrokes and most notably on serves. Volleys are point and shoot. For a 74 RA, the frame is surprisingly comfortable. I went with the maximum HL balance, and the racket was very maneuverable for a longer frame. The octane paint cannot be beat. Great racket – thanks!

A stiff frame that plays as a soft frame. A truly upgrade for all the ex Babolat Users, either came from PD or PA, and for all the players that are seeking for a “tournament” oversize. A very powerful racket but in a control way. At a technical level is an all around racket with groundstroke hits at the best.
You can hit flat, topspin and backspin without any problem.
Choose only the favourite string for you and stop thinking at the racket.
After using Babolat PA for a long time, my shoulder was painful in a dangerous way, now I can continue to play my best tennis with TC 105 and the shoulder is not suffering. I’m a competitive over 50 player from Italy, and I play only outdoor on clay court. My TC105 is 300 grams, 310 balance. I’ve played with Halo Hybrid pack, a lovely solution if you are not an hard hitter. I’ve broked each set in less than 3 hours. Now I’m playing Luxilon Element 1,30 at 21 kg.

The TC105 is a terrific frame. I have migraines which throws off depth perception at times and just needed a larger head, not lighter, no extra power. Had it strung with the Halo Hybrid pack. Played 2 1/2 hours with my competitive team and they informed me to get rid of ALL the other sticks (I’m a tennis nerd) that this was the one. Dialing it the first hour – 2d hour and 1/2 won every single match up. This stick does not get pushed around redirecting pace. The .25 addition to the stick made a lot of serves unreturnable. I chose the 300g and 27.25 10 HL. Took a little time to dial in volleys, but again – the ball was not coming back. The lefty slices were outstanding – Thank you Paul!!!

The TC105 is an amazing racket. I’m a competitive senior (60 /over) player and I used to play with the Babolat Aeropro drive 300 g racket. I’ve experimented with oversize frames like Vokl V2 and Weed 125 EX but they felt too cumbersome. I settled on the TC105 as it’s not so big to be cumbersome but slightly bigger than the now standard 98-100 sq. inch frames. At 300 grams and a headlight balance, the racket is very maneuverable and with the foam core, has great control and feel on all shots. I string my rackets with Technifibre x-one bi phase at 45 lbs. I would also like to mention that the quality of the racket is excellent.

The TC 105 is an amazing frame. Before I was playing with Babolat Aeropro 300 gr. but my wrist was continually pained. So I have tryed this racket. The first feeling was great. After two years I was can play tennis without suffering. The frame is manufactured in excellent way with high tailored quality. In my opinion, the TC 105 is similar to Babolat Aeropro 300 gr. with a little less power but with more feel and control. I play tennis competitely but this frame with its custom specifications is good for each one kind of players.

The TC105 is definitely a „Players Racket“ behind the mask of a oversize racket. The feel and precision for a 105 inch headsize is amazing. 74 RA sound harsh, but it’s not thanks to the foam core. Compared to my (really great) previous Prince Textreme Warrior 107T the TC105 is simply another type of racket. A little less power, but much more control and feel. And a much lower launch angle, which is perfect for dirty slices, flat returns and precise approach shots and volleys. Chose the 290g version and added lead tape at 3 and 9. Now the weight is 315g strung with 325 SW. Strung the racket with Signum Pro X-Perience 17g at 23/22kg (50/48). With the Prince I needed 55/53 and got significantly less control. Amazing racket. Something completely different to other hollow, „dead“ and overpowered oversize rackets. Love it!
